High Dose Radiation (HDR) Treatment For Malignant Skin Diseases - Skin Cancer

If you have recently been diagnosed with skin cancer, you should know of all your treatment options available to you.

Dr. Maged Ghaly has developed a revolutionary new way to deliver radiation therapy for skin cancer. This new technique uses a small radioactive source in a special applicator that is gently applied directly to the skin lesion. The treatment is fast, non-invasive and has excellent results. The outcome is equivalent to surgery, but unlike surgery it is achieved without side effects or scarring. Any lesion smaller then 3cm (about 1in) can be treated. Most patients require 8 - 10 treatments that will be spaced out over a few weeks.

	Pre-Treatment: Basal Cell Carcinoma located on the bridge of the nose
	During Treatments: HDR Surface Applicator is placed into position for each treatment
	Post-Treatment: Results - Patient 6 months after completed treatment
